When are applications due and what is the submission fee?

Submissions open March 1, 2024!

March 1-April 1, 2024 Early Bird! ($35)

April 2-May 1, 2024 ($40)

May 2-May 15, 2024 Late Submissions ($45)

NO SUBMISSIONS WILL BE ACCEPTED AFTER THIS DATE.

The application fee goes directly to covering costs to review submissions and does not result in any profit.

The submission fee is not refundable. Incomplete applications and those without payment will not be processed.

What kind of comedy does the Last Best Comedy Festival accept?

The 2023 Last Best Comedy Festival is for all forms of Stand-Up, as well as Long & Short Form Improv Teams and any other comedy show that can be put up in the allotted time. We will also accept individual improv performers for the festival ensemble. Comedy from across the country as well as international submissions are accepted. Comics and comedy acts chosen to perform in LBCF '23 typically have several years of professional experience. If you think you have what it takes we encourage you to apply!

What kind of comedy does the Last Best Comedy Festival accept?

Are solo improv performers able to apply for a festival ensemble?

If you are an improviser and you want to come to the Last Best Comedy Fest but don't have a team to travel with you can still come!! Submit yourself individually to be considered for the Last Best Comedy Festival Ensemble!Ensemble members will have a daily rehearsal with a world-class instructor and receive multiple performances at this years fest. This years festival ensemble director is Nick Armstrong from Rise Comedy in Denver and co-creator of Improv Utopia.

We ask for a few video links of you performing so we can figure out if you are a good fit. For improv or another comedy show please submit a link to a full show/team performance. If accepted, we want to make sure your set is the right fit with others on a show. We will not accept gag reels, sizzle reels, punch lists or clip shows! Do not send password protected clips or download links! Vimeo or YouTube links please.
